WINTER TIPS

DECEMBER

Maintain your lawn mower and other garden tools. Continue preparation of new sites for spring sowing.

JANUARY

Prepare ground for new lawn construction if the weather permits. Lawn mowers should be maintained.

FEBRUARY

If weather is fine and dry and the grass is growing a first light mowing can be done. Continue preparing ground for new lawn construction, by digging and raking the soil to achieve a fine soil surface ("tilth").
